James & spiritual practices

My weekly bible study is in the book of James (Rick Warren series for small group ministry). I am so glad. I have always liked what I read in James, very practical, very applicable. I had a bout with idolatry (too much TV this weekend) and James 1:21 hit the bulls-eye... "Therefore, rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls." (NRSV)

Back to the spiritual practices that I tried to commit to last month and immediately failed at. It is spending time in prayer, meditation, and reading His Word, that puts my mind in the right place - putting on the armor of rightousness.
